Outpatient Rehabilitation Physical Therapist

 

Job Summary

  • 1st Classen Physical Therapy, in Katy, Texas is seeking a per diem Physical Therapist.

  • Position Starts PRN: 15-20 hours week with potential for full time​ once fully trained

Job Requirements

  • Doctorate or Masters in Physical Therapy required.

  • Current & valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Texas.

  • Current & valid BLS certification.

  • Minimum 2-3 year PT experience.

  • Provide physical therapy treatment and patient care according to outpatient, state and federal regulations and professional guidelines.

  • Implements treatment programs as established by the supervising Lead Physical Therapist/Manager. 

  • Communicates and records patient's response to treatment plan, completing SOAP note to supervisor.

  • Monitors patient's progress and modifies treatment as allowed by the plan of care, recognizing complications/limitations associated with certain procedures. Collaborates and communicates with supervising therapist and other health care staff modifications to patient's treatment process, progress, and discharge planning.

  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.

  • Maintain open and ongoing communication with all departments to ensure that patient, staff and hospital needs are met.

  • Must be savvy with computers, phones, software, and the internet.

  • Understand or willing to learn the insurance process, software, therapy related in-services, ccus, and more.

  • Demonstrated competence in physical therapy treatment.

  • Ensures all rehabilitation equipment has had QC performed as required and is in safe working order prior to use. Reports any malfunctions to management and regularly practices preventive maintenance procedures; calls for service if needed.

  • Subject to random drug testing without notice.

  • Team player responsibilities including:

  • Represent the company working with each patient and outside the office.

  • Ability to project a professional image.

  • Comfortable talking to patients, families, doctor’s offices, and other medical staff including front desk and billing if needed.

  • We have 2 front desk representatives however there may be times when you will assist with answering phones, scheduling, patient logging, collecting payments, etc. for customer service.

  • Seeks opportunities to expand learning beyond baseline competencies with a focus on continual development as a Physical Therapists and of leadership skills.

  • Including In-Services for Team Building & best practices for evidence based treatments.

  • Data entry, HIPAA compliant EMR entry, and electronic entry/correspondence.

  • Special Projects as Assigned.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication English (Spanish plus).
