Medicine

Sports medicine is a multidisciplinary field combining medical expertise, exercise science, and the understanding of biomechanics in order to address sports-related injuries. This specialized branch of medicine focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, rehabilitation, and treatment of athletic injuries to strengthen the injury site and avoid re-injury while returning the athlete back to their specific sport or activity.

who can benefit

Anyone pursuing a sport focused athletic regime who has pain or difficulty in executing their respective sport and wants to return to recreational or competitive play.

Conditions we treat

We treat various kinds of athletic injuries such as:

  • Sprains

  • Fractures

  • Tendinitis

  • Muscle Tears

  • Ligament Tears

  • And more

Each treatment plan will be specific for the certain diagnosis the patient is presenting.

How we Treat

The patient undergoes an initial evaluation to assess limitations, therapy goals, and their prognosis. Following the evaluation, a regular visit can consist of manual therapy and exercises addressing strength and biomechanics to obtain a strong baseline, and then progress to increasingly difficult exercises that mimic athletic movements in the patient's sports field.
